Bishop Phillip Egan's Visit

Our New Prayer Garden

We are very proud of our new prayer garden! This has been planned by the school council, built by Inhurst Landscapes and funded by Bewley Homes. We are looking forward to adding the finishing touches over the next few months. Bishop Philip blessed the garden during his visit in January.

 The Travelling Nativity

There is a lovely tradition in some Spanish and South American cultures where figures of Mary and Joseph make their journey to Bethlehem by visiting different homes in the days leading up to Christmas. This is called the Posada which is Spanish for inn. During Advent families from our school community acted as innkeepers to the Holy Family each evening. They came together to celebrate this special time with a short Liturgy including lighting a candle, reading the Christmas story and praying for travellers around the world.

Bible Stories in a Box

This display shows the fantastic creativity we have in our school! The children were asked to represent their favourite Bible stories in a shoe box and we were overwhelmed by the response. The subjects ranged from Noah's Ark through Moses and Samson to the Last Supper and the Ascension. It is obvious how much thought and discussion was involved at home in making these stories and they add a wonderful splash of colour to our entrance hall.

Monday Worship is based on Sunday's gospel.

Here are some of our Monday worship presentations from this year.
